Thanks to generous support from our trustees and several corporations and foundations, PHLF has awarded 48 scholarships to students from Allegheny County since 1999. Each scholarship has a total value of $4,000 (awarded in equal installments to the college/university over four years) and is for book and tuition expenses.
The Scholarship Program gives students an incentive to excel in school, become involved in their communities, and explore their city in a meaningful way. It gives our organization an opportunity to build relationships with capable young people who feel a strong personal connection to the Pittsburgh region and value its rich history, architectural heritage, and picturesque landscape.
